Riding Discipline? English: combined training, eventing, and IEA

What does being a Kerrits Ambassador mean to you? I love all of my Kerrits gear, particularly my riding pants and tank tops.  I have a job at the barn caring for the horses and teaching lessons and often work 12-hour days on the weekends.  My Kerrits are comfortable all day long and stand up to the rough treatment.  Sharing my enthusiasm for the brand and the quality of your products would be a great honor and a fun way to share what I know about them. I also think that riding is empowering because a relatively small person can learn to work with a huge animal to accomplish something together.  Kerrits seems to understand how special riding can be for children and women and I would love to be a part of spreading that message and encouraging more people to try an equestrian sport.

What are your passions as a rider and ambassador? I am passionate about everything and anything that has to do with riding!  I know that riding isn't a hobby, but a demanding sport and having the right equipment is critical.  That's why I love Kerrits tights and tops, particularly in the hot sumer months in Atlanta.  My Kerrits clothes fit well so that I can make a real connection with my horse.  I don't have to worry about my clothes or whether they look good so I can focus on riding. I am also very serious about teaching beginning riders and I think that it's essential that they get off on the right foot (and lead!), learning the right technique and habits.  This is important, not only for safety, but also so that they develop a love of the sport and its traditions.  I would love to share my appreciation for Kerrits products as part of that experience.

What is your connection to Kerrits? I've been riding since I was 5 years old (11 years ago) and my first riding pants were Kerrits tights.  I was so excited to go shopping with my mother and get breeches and be a "real" rider after having to wear jeans for my first few lessons.  I remember coming home and planting the seeds from the carrot package that came with my pants. When I started competing, my trainer told me to get a Kerrits tank with a color to wear under my coat.  It's so much more comfortable than a pressed cotton shirt and looks just as good.  I always wonder at shows why anyone would wear cotton when you can wear a performance fabric. I think Kerrit is special because it is a company that understands that women love horses and the women who work at Kerrit are trying to help make the time that women are with their horses even more special.
