Owns Horse(s)? Yes. I do a lot of training at my internship and it really depends on the horse and what the owner wants. But when I am home riding my own horses I primarily ride English , and plan to show my rescue pony in the hunter ring this summer.
What does being a Kerrits Ambassador mean to you? I mainly wear Kerrits apparel when riding because it is good quality, and much better than any other brand I have tried. I have even worn my Twist of a Bit Headband during soccer games because of my sensitive ears. I would love to represent the brand that I appreciate most.
What are your passions as a rider and ambassador? My passion as a rider and ambassador is to do the right thing by the horse and to teach others to do the same. I think a lot of times a rider is so focused on wining a competition that they forget that their teammate is a live animal, and need to be respected just as much as a human teammate.
What is your connection to Kerrits? Going to Equine Affair in Massachusetts every year since I was 10, and seeing Kerrits products all over really opened my eyes to the quality brand. When I signed up for an English riding camp last summer I needed a weeks worth of riding breeches that I did not have. I had three pairs of Kerrits bootcut riding pants but I needed ones I could wear with my tall boots. So I went on a shopping spree and bought 5 pairs of Kerrits breeches and I absolutely love them. Because I could not afford buying all these breeches brand new, I went on an online used buying site and bought some of them used and the quality was exceptional for being used.
