Owns Horse(s)? Yes. My Connemara pony Nola is versatile. We have been competing at Training Level and Dressage Seat Equitation at Recognized Dressage shows in PA, KY, NY, VA, and OH. Since Nola is a pony, we also enter the National Dressage Pony Cup classes. Nola and I have been preparing for our first mini trial because we love to jump also. One of the ways I get Nola out to lots of things is through the U.S. Pony Club where we have competed in Dressage, Show Jump, and Tetrathlon rallies.
What does being a Kerrits Ambassador mean to you? Being a Kerrits Ambassador means I am able to represent my favorite brand proudly. I have the privilege of promoting the Kerrits brand and looking stylish and super-cute riding in my Kerrits clothes. It would be an honor to be chosen as an ambassador and I hope that being an ambassador will help me meet new people in the horse world.
What are your passions as a rider and ambassador? I love the thrill of taking my pony off the property so she gets experience at different places. It boosts my confidence to know that my pony has been to many different facilities and that those experiences will help us with our next show. I also love gaining knowledge because it teaches me more about my pony.
When I was younger my mom taught me that everyone’s favorite thing to hear is their own name. I took that to heart and tried to use a person’s name as often as I could in conversation. I’ve become very skilled and confident at starting up a conversation, including people in conversations, and using people’s names when I’m talking to them. I feel I am mature for my age and that I am able to talk with people of all ages.
What is your connection to Kerrits? I got connected to Kerrits because Kerrits was the first pair of riding pants I have ever had. I remember planting the carrot seeds in my garden and using the carrots on our salads and as treats for our horses. Throughout the years, whenever I have needed a pair of riding pants I have always bought Kerrits and have remained loyal to your company for seven and a half years.
In order to get my first pony a year and a half ago, I made a deal with my parents. My parents pay for Nola and I have to buy my own equipment, supplies, and pay for my entry-fees to show. When Dover Saddlery came to Pittsburgh, my mom got a job there and now I buy all my Kerrits from Dover. I have experimented with many of your styles, including your riding shirts, fashion shirts, riding pants, and this year I bought myself a raincoat for the 2016 Rolex Event. I owe a large thanks to my mother for getting me interested in your brand because she always tells me about the new styles that come into their store. The Kerrits brand has been my favorite for so long I don’t know what I would do without it.
