Owns Horse(s)? Yes
What does being a Kerrits Ambassador mean to you? Being an ambassador means showing people the brand I trust to hold up to my demands, and to open up a new door to people who think you have to pay a lot of money to get good quality riding clothes. I want to also go out in to the equine community with confidence, because when you live in a world where you pay to be judged you want to feel good about yourself. Another thing is I want to make Kerrits proud, I want people to look at me as an example of how equestrians should treat one another. To me it's not about competing, in fact I haven't competed in awhile, but I believe you should always show good sportsmanship, wether at the barn or the show. That's what being an ambassador means to me.
What are your passions as a rider and ambassador? As a rider my passion is my horse, Ceasar, although we only pleasure ride now he still acts like my show horse. He is my priority in life, as well as my other horses Cool, Jellybean, and Festus (the donkey). I have been in love with riding for about 12 years and have been taking lessons for 10, and I competed in a few small local and 4H shows. I always loved trying to be the best, I wanted the girls younger than me to have a good role model. I do not mean that in a conceited way, but I wanted to be some one who helped other riders and did not put them down. As an ambassador I would hope to do the same, only on a larger scale and all the while supporting the brand that I have loved for years. I just want to make my past trainers proud and help other riders reach out to those who need a friend in this rough industry.
What is your connection to Kerrits? I first got hooked on Kerrits about 7 years ago. At the time I was riding saddle seat and my trainer suggested the boot cut style. My obsession took off from there. They were the most comfortable breeches I had ever put on, no annoying zipper, they stayed up, and they kept me cool. I still have those breeches too, although I have been hard on them so they needed a patch. Anytime anyone asks me to suggest a brand my first thought is Kerrits because I know they'll be happy. I'm so happy I found this brand, it changed the way I shop for riding clothes completely.
