Owns Horse(s)? Yes. I'm primarially a Fox Hunter. However I think Eventing is a great foundation and bring all of mine at least through at least Novice level.
What does being a Kerrits Ambassador mean to you? Being an ambassador means promoting the versatility of a brand I love. The affordability is helpful when a rough day of hunting had ruined a garment, and the durability makes this is rare occurrence. I feel like living in GA, and the sport that I participate in also gives me a unique opportunity to say "Yes, this product DOES still look great when it's 100+* and I feel great in it"
What are your passions as a rider and ambassador? Fox hunting is truly my passion. The roar of the hounds gets into your blood. A well brought along horse, I can only speculate, feels the same way. I've brought along many field hunters, and the good ones will always turn FOR the hounds instead of the trailer. I think this passion for hunting, and life, is reflected though me and my horses. A person with passion in their soul can make a burlap bag look good. Imagine what it can do for a garment well made and suited for riding.
What is your connection to Kerrits? I love the Kerrits brand! My experience started with your gloves. I HATE gloves. But when I quit my office job and married my Army medic husband, 4-6 rides a day was weighing on my hands. Also, a couple clients have rubber reins (which I abhor, but that's a whole other thing) and with the sweat and humidity here in Midland, GA, the reins slip something serious. Your gloves are the only ones I've found that don't make my hands feel like they're in mittens. They dry quickly and less crunchy than other sweat-soaked brands. I'm still very forgetful about putting them on, but when I do, the love is rekindled. I have also bought MANY pairs of breeches and riding tights and shirts. They've always been well made and hold up to more work than I imagine most clothes can withstand.
