Owns Horse(s)? Yes
What does being a Kerrits Ambassador mean to you? I like to promote products I believe in. I've long admired Kerrits' innovation and treatment of riding apparel as technical sportswear. I love features like roomy pockets, stretchy side panels, and breathable mesh inserts. I own a selection of Kerrits breeches, shirts, a jacket, and now the Schooling Skirt. I enjoy wearing my favorite riding clothes to the barn, saying, "Isn't this great?" -- and meaning it.
What are your passions as a rider and ambassador? I'm an average rider struggling with the sport of dressage. I write about the sport in my blog, www.dressagemortals.org, offering encouragement and a sense of community to other riders. We're all in this together. I recently reviewed the Kerrits Schooling Skirt because I it's a terrific idea whose time has come. It was a blast to test and show off the skirt and, as a writer, I enjoy helping to promote innovative products.
What is your connection to Kerrits? As the former owner of Flying Changes, a Northwest sporthorse magazine, I spent 21 years watching Kerrits ads come in, with interest. The innovation and styling of the products always impressed me and I enjoyed trying out new products as they came along. I had the pleasure of interviewing Kerri Kent for an article I published about Kerrits, several years ago. The background of the company explains the innovative approach to design. Personally, my favorite Kerrits jacket looks as good out on the town as it does in the barn. The attention to detail in the styling makes me happy each time I wear it. It fits well, looks good, and is functional. As mentioned above, I love innovation, promoting good products, and good people.
