What does being a Kerrits Ambassador mean to you? Being a Kerrits Ambassador to me means sharing a passion I love with others as well as a brand I love. It just means continuing what I love to do, working with those new to the sport or young riders, while wearing my favorite breeches.
What are your passions as a rider and ambassador? My passion as an equestrian is to share my love of horses and the sport with others. I ride on my University's IHSA team and am the captain of that team as well as the Vice President. In these roles I work with others who may not have had as many opportunities to experience the joys of working with and riding horses. We welcome riders of all experience to our team which means I often get to be with those new to the sport when they have all of their firsts with horses. I love being there for that moment when somebody new to the sport falls in love. The look of joy and happiness on their faces make all the work it takes to maintain a team with our University beyond worth it. I also work with children during pony camps sharing my passion and showing them all that horses have to offer and teach us.
What is your connection to Kerrits? I didn't start riding horses until I was 16 years old. My family had no clue what it entailed or what I needed but my coach at the time made us a list of items and recommended brands for things I would need for the sport. She recommended Kerrits flow rise tights. They were my first pair of breeches in tan and I purchased a purple pair a year later. I'm now 22 and still have both pairs of those breeches as well as many other pairs of Kerrits breeches. They are the only brand of breeches that fit me properly and comfortably as I'm not the usual physique of an equestrian.
