Owns Horse(s)? Yes
What does being a Kerrits Ambassador mean to you? It means being able to share not only the sport I love, but the gear I love with all of the riding community. Regardless of your discipline, comfort and style are both important and shouldn't be mutually exclusive. Kerrits allows for both of these key components which is something that I truly love and treasure. AND as a bonus the clothing is affordable too!
Guilty Confession: I sometimes wear my Kerrits on days I'm not riding - that's how much I love it.
What are your passions as a rider and ambassador? I have loved horses since first attending a birthday party at the age of 4. Since that age, horses have always been a part of my life. At the age of eighteen I was forced to make the hard decision to step back from riding to pursue an education with strong hope that I would eventually establish a career that would one day allow me to return to the world of riding. Fast forward over ten years to the spring of 2012 when I FINALLY was able to get back into consistent lessons at a local barn here in Calgary. Just the drive out to the barn for my first lesson brought so much excitement. Just a few months after dusting off my riding gear, I purchased my first horse, and it has been a exciting ride ever since.
I know that taking a few years off of riding for school isn't ideal, but my hope is that more people like myself who made the decision to put riding on hold for school will return to the sport as well. It is such a rewarding sport and I consider myself very lucky to be a part of it.
What is your connection to Kerrits? After returning to the sport of riding after taking over 10 years off I found that a lot of gear had changed - and for the better. A friend of mine used Kerrits for everyday riding as well as showing and vouched for their full seat breaches. Since I love to feel secure in my saddle, I figured I would give them a try. What I didn't expect was the addiction to riding clothes that followed. I'm not normally one to spend money on my own clothes (it's usually for my horse), but with the comfort, style and affordability I find it hard to pass up shopping for my own riding clothes when it comes to Kerrits :)
