What does being a Kerrits Ambassador mean to you? It would be an honor to be a Kerrits Ambassador and continue to wear and promote their clothing.  I am a big fan of Kerrits and they have always provided riders with comfort not only in fit and style but in clothing meant for various temperatures. I live in an area where we get a vast range of temperatures from freezing in the winter to the 90's or higher in the summer.  I have always recommended Kerrits for their summer wear and absolutely love their winter wear which has gotten me through many cold days/nights.

Kerrits line of apparel if very professional and as an instructor it is important to me to represent not only the barn I am teaching out of but myself as well.  I will be able to promote Kerrits to riders and their families which I already do.  We have a lot of traffic through our barn and newcomers who are wondering what to purchase so that they are comfortable.  A lot of our kids and boarders look for comfort not only while schooling but while showing as well.  Kerrits brand is great for showing and always looks professional.

What are your passions as a rider and ambassador? My passions as a rider is to teach others and to keep learning.  During the day I am a school teacher and in the afternoons/weekends I am an instructor.  Everyone is lifelong learners and I strive to keep my students hungry to learn more and to challenge themselves.  For myself, I am always looking for a new challenge.

I started out as a Hunter/Jumper and got into Dressage early in college.  Currently, I am working with my horse in eventing.  We are just getting our toes wet right now, doing a lot of schooling, but both myself and my horse are eager to learn more.  At our barn the younger riders look up to us and they are more interested in learning more about eventing and combined training.  They see the challenges myself and the other instructors take and they too want to challenge themselves and learn.

It means a lot to me to be a positive role model to the younger riders.  I believe it is important to always be a positive influence with everyone and I feel that is a important part as a rider and an ambassador.

What is your connection to Kerrits? When I was younger, riding in western Pennsylvania, my first pair of winter breeches were Kerrits.  I remember how comfortable and WARM they were!  When I would get home I wouldn't take them off!  I continued to purchase Kerrits wear.  I got another pair of full seat winter breeches, numerous summer shirts, the sit tight full seats, and I remember my favorite pair or summer breeches growing up that were lilac and kept me so cool.

I love that everything is fitted, comfortable, and very professional looking.  There is no limitation to movement at all, which is very important, especially when showing. It is clear that Kerrits cares about the rider and they show it through their merchandise!
