Endurance

Owns Horse(s)? Yes

What does being a Kerrits Ambassador mean to you? As one of the few riders wearing Kerrits in endurance riding in Australia, in distances from 80km to 400km, it's great to be both comfortable and just a bit funky! Every endurance ride provides opportunities to give and receive advice, including what clothing is going to be durable and comfortable over these incredible distances.

What are your passions as a rider and ambassador? I've ridden endurance for 20 years and love the time spent with my horses, the chance to experience some amazing countryside, the challenge and the wonderful people. Endurance is a way of life and requires constant dedication and commitment, but never fails to also give the greatest sense of achievement.

What is your connection to Kerrits? After a break, I returned to endurance riding in 2002 and almost every endurance ride was followed by days of excruciating pain from rubs on my legs from wearing standard jodhpurs. My sister, who was living in the US at the time, sent me my first pair of Kerrits, a pair of black flow rise performance tights ... I still have them, more than 4000 competitive endurance kilometers later ... and also many more pairs. I have never looked back, and never wear any other type of riding pants either training or competing ... and I have never had rubs again. This year was a very wet year, with both the 160km state champs and the iconic 400km Shahzada ride receiving heavy downpours throughout, many of my fellow competitors complained of chaffing, sometimes, quite severe, but my Kerrits stayed comfy the whole way!
