Owns Horse(s)? Yes
What does being a Kerrits Ambassador mean to you? Being a Kerrits Ambassador means being fully present and appreciating every moment of the long and winding journey involved in chasing excellence. Eventing is more than a sport, it a is a lifestyle choice, and my Kerrits gear helps me embrace the journey and love this life that I have chosen.
What are your passions as a rider and ambassador? I am passionate about the details. Paying strict attention to details ensures the final product produced is absolutely of the finest quality. As we all know, with horses, there are so many things that we cannot control, but in the management of the smallest details - details in feeding, details in turnout, details in rider position, details in show ring presentation, details in the tack and gear selected - I am choosing to take charge of my own success. I choose to ride in Kerrits apparel and that takes care of one of those details so I can focus on all of the others.
What is your connection to Kerrits? I first rode in Kerrits apparel as a teenager in the '90's. My mother would drop me off at the barn around 6:00 AM before heading to work each day during the summer months, and I would go back to sleep in the hay barn until the horses were fed at 7:30 AM. As an awkward teenager, it never occurred to me to have multiple changes of clothes for a 12 plus hour day at the barn, so I wanted riding clothes that were also comfortable out of the saddle and there was nothing better than Kerrits tights. I lived in my Kerrits tights every day all day both in and out of the saddle during the sweltering Houston summers and was as happy as could be. Now, as a young professional years later, my Kerrits apparel is still the first thing I grab when getting dressed each morning.
