Owns Horse(s)? Yes. I ride 3 Day Eventing, with most of my focus being toward Dressage.
What does being a Kerrits Ambassador mean to you? Being a Kerrits Ambassador to me means becoming a representative of the brand through my riding and interactions with the horse community, whether it's at the barn or at a show.
What are your passions as a rider and ambassador? My passions as a rider and ambassador are to become to best rider I can be. What that means to me is reading whatever I can get my hands on, taking as many lessons as possible, and listening to my horse (Remi) every step of the way. She is a Hungarian Warmblood and has a great ability to reward you for being sensitive to her. I am passionate about training her physically and emotionally to be the happiest horse she can be! I also am passionate about my riding community, they are my best friends! I love going on adventures with them, whether it be to camp, shows, or trail riding.
What is your connection to Kerrits? My connection to the Kerrits brand comes from being an independent rider. I am not part of a family that rides, so I've always had to do it myself. I began riding at age 6 and paid for lessons by working at the barn. It was not glamorous at all, I spent most of my time cleaning chicken coops because I was not educated enough to work with the horses. I am now 24 and support my riding with a job as a Web Analyst. Being a young, independent lady means that money is tight! A few years ago I went to a tack shop to buy new riding pants. I tried on probably 15 different breeches and every single one wasn't pleasant. I either felt like I was bulging in weird places, could barely walk, or they were just...ugly. THEN! I tried on some Kerrits breeches. The mediums fit me like second skin. I looked at the price tag and skipped around the dressing room. I was so excited to see a horse clothing brand that was actually affordable. The photo I uploaded is actually me on that day in my first ever Kerrits breeches.
Since that moment I have not bought a single item from a different brand. I am a Kerrits ADDICT! I have every type of full-seat breech you sell (some in multiple), as well as two jackets, one zip-up, and two riding shirts. Before Kerrits, I was the type of girl that rode in all of my grungiest sweatshirts. Now, I get compliments constantly. I have so much confidence in my riding clothing, and it really translates to my riding. I have a show this Sunday, and I know exactly what I'm wearing. I love the price point, but I also love that I know it will fit. I can go on the website and choose anything in Medium, and when it arrives it will look beautiful! The clothes cling where they should and glide where they should. I already look like a Kerrits advertisement each day at the barn, but when my friend told me about the Ambassador program I was excited to jump at the opportunity!
