Owns Horse(s)? Yes. I ride Hunter/Equitation. Above all, the primary discipline of riding is the ability to persevere. Anyone can begin the journey of becoming a great rider, but not everyone perseveres through all the obstacles that come his or her way. Falling off your horse, getting last place in a show – they are inevitable. The question is whether or not you let that define your abilities as a rider. As difficult or painful it may seem in the moment, you have to keep going. It’s not always about the champion ribbon or the million-dollar prize. If in a previous show you did indeed get last place, but in the next show you get fifth, it may not be exactly where you want to be, but it shows improvement and your willingness to pursue success. That’s where you congratulate yourself and keep on training to be the best you can be. Would that be possible without perseverance? No. If you fall and don’t get back up, you won’t get anywhere – in riding and in life.

What does being a Kerrits Ambassador mean to you? To be a Kerrits Ambassador would mean to represent a company devoted to bringing the best riding apparel in terms of comfort and style. I would love to be given the honor of being able to share Kerrits riding gear with everyone I know. I already have the reputation for being a style icon at my school, and I would love to be able to do so at my barn as well. If anyone asks, it’s Kerrits!

What are your passions as a rider and ambassador? My passions as a rider include striving to be a better rider, caring for my pony, and sharing everything I know with those surrounding me. As an ambassador I hope to do the same, while promoting Kerrits’ thoughtfully designed attire.

What is your connection to Kerrits? After my first ride ever, in jeans and boots meant for street wear, I decided I loved the sport and needed some proper riding pants. At Country Tack (the local tack shop), the saleswoman helped me find a pair that fit comfortably and looked great. Made by Kerrits, I still love and wear my knee patch riding tights – EIGHT years later! Guess I haven't grown very much... but the fact that they have lasted so long proves Kerrits’ high quality. The carrot-seed packet that came with the pants was such an adorable addition, and I was instantly captivated by the Kerrits brand.

Additionally, I love the fact that Kerrits is determined to being a part of a greener future. It is amazing to see that the Kerrits brand has grown to be so successful after its humble beginnings.
