Owns Horse(s)? Yes. I show primarily in eventing and dressage. I am a Novice eventer hoping to move up to Training this spring, and I show 1st level, hoping to debut recognized this fall as well. I also dabble in hunters, jumpers, and even local AQHA/breed shows. I am also an extremely dedicated C1 Pony Clubber hoping to get my C2 certification this summer.
What does being a Kerrits Ambassador mean to you? A Kerrits Ambassador loves, advocates, wears, supports, rides in, achieves in and believes in the Kerrits brand, while maintaining the environment of a polished, sophisticated, driven, and above all, safe rider. Being an Ambassador is a privilege, as well as a huge responsibility. Being able to share my successes as a Kerrits buyer not only helps me practice integrity, but also allows me to promote and support the quality, products and goals of a company or brand I believe in!
What are your passions as a rider and ambassador? I live on 40 acres in South San Antonio that is not only home to my parents and I, but also 20 boarded horses, 3 foals, and 10 of my family's combined personal mounts and sale horses. I am always kept super busy with my showing and ranch lifestyle, but after growing up in the city, I know my heart belongs on this property and on the road with my horses. I like to share what makes my heart happy, and being an ambassador allows me to share my love for Kerrits as they travel with me from show to show. I enjoy riding and competing my old pony, Jack, an OTTB named Kipp and a Hanoverian/TB named Indy.
What is your connection to Kerrits? At the age of four I began following the footsteps of my horse-crazy mother, which has shaped the young woman I am today. As a child I faced many medical conditions. While horses allowed me to develop responsibility and coping mechanisms, it was also imperative that I had apparel that would keep me protected and safe. I was quite picky about the way my clothes fit, and Kerrits were the only jods, breeches and tights my mother and I could agree on! Today, safety isn't the only thing on the top of my priority list. I am extremely detail oriented when selecting fabrics, styles, and prints that not only keep me cool, but allow me to express my personal style at clinics, shows, Pony Club meetings and rallies. My go-to styles include Kerrits Flex Tight II Full Seat breeches and any of the Venti or Ice Fil riding shirts. I believe that Kerrits has products for anyone to enjoy, professionals and pleasure riders alike!
