Owns Horse(s)? Yes

What does being a Kerrits Ambassador mean to you? As a feminist, I obviously stand for equality and the spotlight for women. There is nothing I love more in a brand (especially a horse-related one) than extra positive attention on women, because hey, we deserve it! The fact that Kerrits' has created an exceptional collection of equestrian wear that I find suitable to wear around the barn, in the western saddle, in the hunter ring, and even to school, that is not only incredibly comfortable, but is functional, affordable, durable, gorgeous, AND throws the spotlight on equestrian women is a once in a lifetime encounter, and I would be honoured to be able to say that I am a part of the Kerrits Ambassador program.

What are your passions as a rider and ambassador? My passions as a rider have changed as I have matured. When I was a kid, I wanted to jump five feet on beautiful warmbloods and coach at my own barn. As I grew up, I realized that being an 'equestrian' has a lot more to do with your love and passion for the animal and the sport, than how high you can jump or how far you can stick your heels down, or how fast you can turn around that barrel. I realized as I matured that I wanted to help the horses, instead. This fall, I am taking a trip to OLEX ( a livestock auction in my area ) with my coach, and I plan on purchasing a horse. Horses saved my life, and I'd like to return the favour.

The horse you see in the 'gallery' photos is my lease horse, Bid, or Gambler's Hope. He's a 22 year old, one eyed, Medicine Hat Paint horse gelding. He was originally broke western and english, but trained for gaming, but I'm currently extending his training so he can be not only a gaming horse, but a hunter hack horse as well! He is my rock and I honestly have no idea where I would be if he hadn't come into my life. I owe everything to him.

What is your connection to Kerrits? My friend and I were browsing through the Greenhawk racks a few months ago and came across some riding tights. Of course, I ended up caving and buying them, and I ended up wearing them almost every single ride afterwards, and then a few times to school... After a while, I ended up randomly on the Kerrits site while searching for some gloves, and then ended up reading your story! After falling in love with the feminine spotlight, I was hooked. Then, just this evening, someone mentioned to be about how Kerrits had an ambassador program.. and now we're here. I would love to be a part of your team. Thank you smile
