Owns Horse(s)? Yes

What does being a Kerrits Ambassador mean to you? Being a Kerrits ambassador to me means representing the Kerrits brand with style, passion, practice, determination, and confidence.  These five things to me are what I want people to think, and see as I represent my sport.  Having me as a Kerrits Ambassador would benefit the company because, I bring in a different discipline of riding, more business in Minnesota, and the saddlebred industry into the Kerrits.  I currently see only hunt jump being the main stay of of your jods.  Saddleseat is very different and requires different attire as well as durability and style.  American Saddlebred horses bring elegance and attitude and I will represent you with both in the most positive and encouraging role model to all up and coming horse people.

What are your passions as a rider and ambassador? My passions as a rider and ambassador are to bring in a new discipline and industry to the company.  Not many Saddleseat riders know or have worn Kerrits Apparel before.  When I first got my Kerrits Jods, I fell in love with them, and I feel like if more Saddleseat people knew and got introduced to the Kerrits brand, it would do the company a great favor, and me a great favor because I want more Saddleseat riders to know and to support the Kerrits brand.  In closing, my passions as a rider and ambassador would be to introduce, and get more people into supporting the Kerrits Brand.

I am passionate about my horses.  Kerrits goes hand in hand with horses and the people who love their horses.  Every girl wants to be stylish but needs to be able to get their work done.  As you are well aware owning and turning out a horse is hard work and you get dirty.  Taking care of my horse and being a girl is a fine balance.  We have rough hands and dirt on our boots and horse hair in and on everything but we want to look good doing our work.  When you find something that works you want to tell the world about it or sometimes people just notice! I know I sure do.  That is what I feel is important about being an ambassador.  Walking the walk and talking the talk. I get dirty and down in the trenches, lead by example with congratulating my fellow horsemen when they do well, mentoring the younger riders coming up.  I know they look to me with how to act and how to turn "yourself" out!  You have to lead by example and that is what I do.

What is your connection to Kerrits? My first Kerrits were purchased by my mother for me when I was 5 years old.  After I took a few riding lessons, my instructor asked my mother to get me appropriate riding pants.  With Saddleseat, you wear Kentucky style jods. I was obviously very tiny and we had a hard time finding any pants that would fit the bill, but my mom found your brand.  They were so comfortable I remember wanting to wear them all the time.  I also remember thinking that horses like carrots and I remember a tiny seed pack being on the pants.  My mom explained to me that we could plant them and feed them to the horses because they are the best treat in the world for horses. I hope that your company continues to expand the pant selection and bring in more styles.   I hope to be a part of your wonderful team and represent you here in Minnesota!
