Owns Horse(s)? Yes. I ride Dressage and show jumping, but I love learning about new disciplines and will "sit on anything."
What does being a Kerrits Ambassador mean to you? Being a Kerrits Ambassador means that I believe in Kerrits brand products. I believe that I can ride, in Northern Michigan, all year. I believe that riding is meant to be fun. I believe that riding is a sport and sport clothing keeps riders more comfortable and encourages more "time in the saddle." I believe and remember that I started riding horses because I loved horses. I believe that Kerrits makes awesome riding clothes and I want to encourage the brand amongst my clients and colleagues.
What are your passions as a rider and ambassador? As a rider my goal is to improve the mental and physical well being of every horse I work with. I believe that horses, as social animals, want to work with us and learn to do what we ask of them. I strive to develop a partnership with each horse with as little resistance as possible. As a trainer my goal is to make riding fun and improve the welfare of horses through teaching compassionate, science based training and management. As an ambassador I want to wear cool, sporty, Kerrits brand clothing more often. I want to be comfortable and professional.
What is your connection to Kerrits? My first connection to Kerrits was visiting a store near the Columbia River Gorge with my windsurfing parents, I was 13, so it was 1991! I bought a pair of bright purple breaches which were retired about five years ago. I have loved Kerrits products ever since. I started riding when I was 13, I am now a professional in the industry and I still love Kerrits!
