I have a pair of the cross-over knee patch winter breeches but decided to try these to have a little more grip in a cold saddle. While I prefer low rise, the mid-rise waist on these is very comfortable. The snaps, hook on the waist band and zippers on the pockets worked great. The knee gussets are a nice touch. In 20 degree weather, I added long johns underneath. With a wool sweater on top, I was plenty warm without a jacket. Will be buying another pair.
I just came in from my first ride wearing these pants. Temp around +3C or 40F. No wind. When I put the pants on one of the snaps popped off. During my ride the zipper wouldn't stay up and the clasp over top of the zipper came apart. So...the quality is questionable. More importantly. These were not even close to being warm. The 'fleece' lining is minimal. I came away colder than if I had worn my regular fall breeks. I am truly disappointed in the quality and the warmth. The description is completely misleading. My guess is that a temp over 4C would MAYBE work for these. Bottom line. Don't waste your money.
