Ambassador: ALLISON TIDWELL
What does being a Kerrits Ambassador mean to you?
Being able to ride my horse is the greatest feeling in the world; being able to express my personality with Kerrits' fun prints lets me stand out on the course. I am also striving to become a Kerrits ambassador so I can show more girls that they can express themselves while riding in Kerrits apparel as much as you can in any other sport. As a Kerrits ambassador,I would be able to safely promote the sport of eventing, show off the many great styles of clothing Kerrits has to offer, and look great while doing it.
What are your passions as a rider and ambassador?
As a rider I am training as an eventer. I have recently competed in my first eventing show out of state and I hope to do a few more schooling shows this season. Right now my partner in the sport of eventing is my lovely 18 year old Quarter Horse gelding named Storys Man ,"Pumpkin". I have had him for almost four years, and we have a very special bond. I trust him to safely take me through anything, and together we will go far. I hope by next year we will have joined an eventing team, and will be competing at the novice level in eventing. I have a lifetime goal of competing at Rolex in Kentucky, and the Olympics someday. As ambassador for Kerrits I will be able to pursue my goals while working with a company that also shares my passion for horses and riding.
What is your connection to Kerrits?
While I have been wearing Kerrits riding apparel since my first lesson, my favorite item has always been the bit zip neck riding shirt. I wore this top until it had holes in the elbows! This was my favorite shirt! I wore it everyday until my mom forced me to take it off so she could wash it. I wore it to every event, horses or not, no matter the weather. When I finally grew out of this top I passed it on to a young girl at my barn who had just started riding. While this was my most memorable connection with Kerrits, my first Kerrits purchase was my first pair of riding pants. I wore them from my first ride, to my first fall, through the first time I trotted. Now I have many Kerrits tops, pants, and jackets. I especially love my Kerrits rain jacket with the checkered pattern! I already have my Christmas wish list started for the new items I saw on the Kerrits website last week! As a hippophile, I am always most comfortable in my riding clothes, and Kerrits makes that stylish and easy.
