Ambassador: ALYSSA PEDDICORD
What does being a Kerrits Ambassador mean to you?
I would be able to spread the word on the hip and new things that Kerrits comes out with. I would be grateful to be able to represent a brand that I have been supporting my whole riding career. I would really love to be able to try out a pair of the new breeches with the silicone on them.
What are your passions as a rider and ambassador?
I love to make a difference and bridge gaps. I show on the local circuit. I have done the rated stuff and sometimes wish I could get back to that level. My last horse Arthur really humbled me though. He gave me that "I don't care what we do, but let's have fun!" He was the first jumper I ever had. He taught me a lot about myself and taught me why I love riding so much. I still have him but he is now retired due to a bad lease situation, where I tried to provide an opportunity for a ride with a less than an ideal financial situation. Jokes on me, her family is loaded. They just didn't want to spend it on a horse, maintenance, etc... Oh well. My new show horse has been a tough one. She has a rough past and we have been working through that. She is BEAUTIFUL! I cannot wait until we are ready to horse show this season. I hope she will do the hunters but now that I have had a taste of the jumpers I would not mind going back to that.
What is your connection to Kerrits?
I remember as a kid that they were the pants with the carrot seeds. My mom had started taking lessons at one point as well, and the only breeches she purchased were Kerrits. That was pretty awesome once she quit and I inherited her breeches. I have never been able to invest in any of the tops because breeches are what I need foremost.
