Ambassador: AMBERLEY MARSDEN
Owns Horse(s)? Yes
What does being a Kerrits Ambassador mean to you? To me, being a Kerrits Ambassador means representing the brand by wearing the clothes proudly, recommending them to students, friends and acquaintances, testifying to the quality and comfort of Kerrits products, and coordinating my Kerrits outfits in a stylish way to attract attention to the brand. I think most of my friends and clients already think of me as a Kerrits Ambassador, seeing as I own over a dozen pairs of Kerrits breeches along with matching tops and a number of jackets and hats that I enjoy coordinating into matching outfits! I have been in love with the brand ever since I bought my first pair of breeches, and I recommend Kerrits clothing to everyone and anyone.
What are your passions as a rider and ambassador? I love dressage because I feel like when ridden correctly, it is the ultimate connection between a rider and a horse. My passion is developing that connection with the horses I ride, and teaching my students to do the same. I strongly believe in taking the time to develop the horses' bodies and minds, to maximize athletic potential in each individual as well as a happy and willing partner. I also ride and coach three day eventing because I believe it is excellent cross training for horses and riders alike, and it is important for the horses' minds to get out of the arena and go have fun. Cross country also builds confidence which in turn makes a more successful horse in the show ring. Two of my favourite Kerrits products are the Stay Tight Supreme and the Crossover breeches. I frequently recommend them to my students because of their supreme "stick" -- I've never ridden in another breech that gives the rider such security. I find they are great for giving nervous riders that extra bit of confidence that they can stay in the saddle, so they can focus on their horse and not be afraid of losing their seat.
What is your connection to Kerrits? Several years ago, I was shopping at my favourite tack store for a pair of breeches. The girl working at the time recommended Kerrits, and I was uncertain as I had never tried them before and I'm extremely picky about comfort. She assured me that I wouldn't regret it and that once I had tried them I'd be converted. So I bought a pair, and ever since then I've been hooked! I cannot believe the quality of the Kerrits line, I have breeches that have lasted me several years when every other brand I'd ever ridden in would wear out within a year. I am at the stable for up to 12 hours a day, 5 days a week so they are subject to extreme wear and tear yet continue to last. Since I loved the breeches so much I started buying other products such as the shirts, jackets, and hats and I love every single item I own. Every year I purchase more items, and I continue to be impressed. I am very grateful to Kerrits for producing such comfortable yet functional clothing as I spend many hours of my life wearing them!
