Ambassador: ANDREA FERGUSON
What does being a Kerrits Ambassador mean to you?
Kerrits is not a brand that dominates our local HJ circuit. So many people are worried about brand names and who’s wearing what boots, coats, etc. I want to show people that beautiful products can come at an affordable price!! I love kerrits products and people always seem surprised when they ask what brand I have on and I say Kerrits!! I have a young horse, who is just entering the local show world, and he is a total fan favorite. I feel his popularity could also help raise Kerrits popularity in my local show community.
What are your passions as a rider and ambassador?
I grew up as a working student, riding sale horses. I never had a permanent ride! I worked from sun up until dark, just for the opportunity to ride. I feel a true equestrian does their own work and will see the benefit in the long run. To this day, as an adult, I choose to self-care for my horses at shows, do all my own grooming, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I think Kerrits represents the “working class” of equestrians and is like to see the brand better represented in my local HJ community. I currently own 4-year-old Holsteiner and he is my absolute passion. It’s very gratifying to watch him grow and learn.
What is your connection to Kerrits?
I’m a penny pincher and I refuse to overspend on anything. For me, Kerrits has always had a high-quality product, at a price I felt great about. From the BEST winter riding tights, to my new FAVORITE show coat, I always feel great in my Kerrits attire. I wore my new show coat this weekend and received so many compliments. Whenever I told people it was Kerrits brand, I could see the look of surprise! No, it’s not a $300 coat! I paid $100 and can now use that leftover $200 towards a show!
