Ambassador: DANIELLE FORTINO
What does being a Kerrits Ambassador mean to you?
Being a Kerrits ambassador means a lot to me. It means putting on your breeches or tights and feeling like a million bucks. To feel confident when going to the tack store to shop for a new season of show attire, to be able to trust a brand to continue to be consistent in sizing and quality.
But also, it means a lot to me to be a part of a company and a community of strong women. Women who want to be comfortable when they ride but also stylish. To be supportive and to continue pushing women to always want to strive for their best day, best ride, best foot forward.
What are your passions as a rider and ambassador?
My passions as a rider have honestly in the past couple of years been breathed back into life. I was an avid competitor in my younger years and teens. Now in my 30’s my passion is to begin competing again to showcase my two OTTBs and to participate in RRP and TIP.
As an ambassador, my passion is to share my love of the Kerrits brand with everyone. I used to dread going into the tack store to try on new riding clothes, since finding the Kerrits brand I no longer feel self-conscious or worried I might not find anything. From winter-wear to summer Kerrits always has so many items that fit and compliment me. I want to share that with friends, family, and strangers alike.
What is your connection to Kerrits?
I was looking for some schooling tights when I bought my first OTTB. I was at Dover and was getting quite frustrated with not being able to find any that fit me properly. It wasn’t until I was about to give up that a pair of Kerrits caught my eye. They were the IceFils and when I put them on I couldn’t believe how comfortable they were and wow, I was trying on 3 sizes bigger than my street clothes in other brands, but in Kerrits I was my actual size or smaller. It was great. I felt confident, I looked amazing, and best of all they were priced great as well. I ended up buying 4 different styles of riding tights that day and continue to pick more up on each visit.
Feeling confident in riding clothes is very important in my mind. The fact that Kerrits is for women by women only resonates that confidence even more.
