Ambassador: LEXI AVILA
What does being a Kerrits Ambassador mean to you?
To be able to be a Kerrits Ambassador would be an amazing opportunity for my horse and me, I love how each product has a special occasion for each rider such as Ice-fil shirts to warming vests perfect for those cold days when you don't want to bundle up. And with all it all up, there are super cool and amazing designs made to pop out when you are in or out of the ring. What also makes me want to represent the brand Kerrits is the fact that they put so much thought into the technology of their products to always keep the rider comfortable and happy. From the first time I tried on my show coat until now, I have been completely in love and I hope to purchase more products in the near future! Also, by being an ambassador, I would absolutely have NO problem sharing how much I love the Kerrits brand!
What are your passions as a rider and ambassador?
My passion as a rider is to be compassionate, caring, and an emotionally and physically connected rider to the horses I ride and to the people, I work with. As for being caring, I appreciate all of the work that horses do every day for us. I believe that horses try their best to please their riders, for I have a personal experience with a "green" horse. Hopefully one day I can pursue my dream to build my own barn/training facility and give back just like the people closest to me did. My barn facility would contain hunter and jumper horses who are owned by people of all ages trying to fulfill their dreams that I have now. As a hunter, jumper, and dressage rider, I compete fairly regularly at shows which means that I am fully capable of representing Kerrits. Pony Club shows are also a big part of my showing rem which would be a perfect way to spread the word about Kerrits!
What is your connection to Kerrits?
As of 3 years ago, I heard about Kerrits through a friend in Pony Club. Because I am a horse lover and love my riding outfits, I decided to look up the brand. Ove I opened the first page, it was love at first sight. As I scrolled down the page, I immediately knew I wanted to buy EVERYTHING! After a few years passed, my Pony Club team and I went to compete at the 2017 Pony Club Championships in Lexington, KY. That year one of my teammates, Taylor McFall, was able to have Kerrits sponsor us a whole show ring outfit!!! My team and I were super excited to be representing Kerrits apparel. Before I left for Championships, I tried my outfit on and I was so happy that I would be stylish, comfortable, and cooled off from the KY heat. From there on, I have been wanting to purchase more and more ringside outfits for my friends and I. As this show year begins, I plan to buy multiple pairs of breeches, vests, and Ice Fill shirts as it seems to be hot wherever there is a show. So look out Kerrits for a big purchase int he near future!
