Ambassador: LUCY BURNY
What does being a Kerrits Ambassador mean to you?
Being a Kerrits Ambassador means bringing awareness to the amazing versatility and quality of the brand. I think that, while Kerrits is a brand geared towards Equestrians, it can serve purpose to women and children with many different lifestyles.
What are your passions as a rider and ambassador?
I love riding because it teaches you a lot about life. There are many lessons learned in riding that apply to real life situations. I also love that it is a mentally and physically challenging sport in which you have to be in total sync with your horse. Being an ambassador, much like being an equestrian, is much more than a title. It is a lifestyle.
What is your connection to Kerrits?
The first time I came across Kerrits I was just getting back into riding. At the time, I was a personal shopper in the fashion industry. I loved horseback riding, but dreaded making the switch from my comfortable jeans and half chaps to a real pair of breeches. I was so relieved when I came across the 'mobility breech'. Not only were these pants like a second skin, but they had a pocket for my phone!
Fast forward about 4 years, those same pants finally bit the dust only because I scraped the side of a fence just before sticking a landing from a fall. Don't worry, I bought another pair (or two) right away.
Now, my Kerrits wardrobe consists of multiple pairs and styles of breeches as well as multiple 'Flip Tail' jackets. Not only do I wear my Kerrits gear to the barn, but out and about with my friends as well. It has gotten to the point where my 'non-horsey' friends ask me about the brand and where they can get it.
