Ambassador: MAE REPSTAD
What does being a Kerrits Ambassador mean to you?
It would mean so much to be an ambassador. I have been riding since I was in pre school and all I ride in are Kerrits. When I was 4, I was just beginning to ride. I was nervous at first but knowing I would have cute and fashionable clothing to ride in honestly made me feel better. I have been wearing kerrits for the longest time and having even a small chance to possibly sponsor kerrits is exciting. It would mean the world the world to me to even be associated with this company. I would be the most hard working ambassador you would have.
What are your passions as a rider and ambassador?
The number one thing that hooked me to riding was the happiness and adrenaline that goes through my body when I’m jumping or even riding. Seeing my horse, Luna just puts the biggest smile on my face. I ride at Flintridge private riding club. It’s so close to my house and I walk to the barn everyday. If I couldn’t ride, I wouldn’t know what to do. It’s become a part of me. I’ve had it with me since I was little. There has been some hard obstacles to pass in my life, and riding has helped me get through them every time.
What is your connection to Kerrits?
When I was a 4 years old and starting to ride, my mom took me to the local saddlery. I was so exited to begin to ride. I was looking through the store and none of the plane breeches stood out to me. Once I saw the rack of colorful breeches that felt like leggings and where so comfortable, I knew those where the ones I had to have. Ever since I have been riding in kerrits. I ask for them for birthdays and Christmases every year. I’m thirteen now and I wear my kerrits to ride everyday. I don’t just wear them riding, I wear them out with my friends! They are so comfortable and stylish. And the fact that they come with plantable carrot seeds led me to growing my own organic garden of carrots in my front yard. My horse loves to eat them whenever I bring them down to the barn.
