Ambassador: MARLEY LEONARD
What does being a Kerrits Ambassador mean to you?
Being a Kerrits Ambassador means that I openly support your brand because I truly enjoy it and share my love for it with others. One thing I really love about your brand is that all of the products are true and consistent to size. I've had so many problems with other brands where I've had a medium shirt that fit me perfectly, so I ordered many more online. When they came, every single one had drastic size differences, even though they were all "mediums". It's very important to many people that sizing is the same throughout the company, because many people shop online ( I am one of those people).
What are your passions as a rider and ambassador?
I just love spending time at the barn with all of the people I know there. I like to take my lease horse, Mark, out to the grazing area and just brush him as he's eating; it's very therapeutic for me. Riding is my therapy for my stress from school and such; it's my happy place. I just love feeling that connection with my horse while I'm riding and we support each other. I want to share my passion and enjoyment for this brand with others and show them the reasons why I like Kerrits. Your products are very useful and durable as well as fashionable. They help my connection with my horse because they are grippy to the saddle and are slim enough to provide the close contact I want. I can share my enthusiasm on my Instagram account as well, @marley.equestrian
What is your connection to Kerrits?
My first interaction with Kerrits was when I was given the opportunity to ride for three days of the week(I used to ride twice a week) and the new day was on a Wednesday. However, I wouldn't have time to go home first and change into my barn clothes, and so I decided that I wanted to wear some of the barn clothes to school. I wanted to still fit in with the crowd there, and I didn't have any breeches that would allow me that. I went online and eventually found Kerrits, where I saw the black riding tights. They completely fit in and looked like my usual leggings, and they were too dark to notice the knee patches. I ordered a size medium online and was encouraged when I saw that the clothes were the same size across the company. When they came, they fit me absolutely perfectly! I still wear the same ones every Wednesday and it has been most of a full school year. They still have the same fit (haven't stretched or shrunk with washing) and just as great as they always have been. Soon after I got my black riding tights, I purchased two of your full seat breeches online from Stateline Tack and I love them! They are the exact same size as my tights and are just as grippy as they were advertised. My personal favorite feature about your leggings and tights is that there is a super grippy thing at the bottom of them and it makes it very easy to put on boot socks, rather than it bunching up and getting carried up as you're trying to put on the boot socks. However, my favorite product of yours from my experience is by far my Competitors Koat in black, which I got when I went to Broken Horn. I have low blood pressure and it makes me need a lot of salt in my body. Traditional show wear, even with modern technology, is very stuffy and makes one hot easily. I've passed out at shows before because the clothing made me lose too much salt, but that was before I found your coat. It's one of a kind because of the materials you use. It's not cloth but looks very similar and because of the lightness and ESPECIALLY breathability that I don't fear passing out or anything like that while at shows. I've never experienced a coat that gave me complete free range of motion and also was so thin but still traditional looking (not to mention affordable as well). I love the idea of the secret zip behind the three buttons so it's smoother, and my mom loves the coat because she doesn't have to take it to the dry cleaners and iron it, she can just put it in the wash and it comes out looking as if it was ironed haha. Thank you for your time!
