Ambassador: NICOLE SPERANZO
What does being a Kerrits Ambassador mean to you?
Becoming a Kerrits Ambassador would mean so much to me. I love all of the Kerrits Products, I wear them as much as I possibly can. I feel as though I would be a great ambassador, as I am an enthusiastic and dedicated individual. This shows through in my riding. I have come so far in just one year. From being a Barrel Racing, to showing successfully in Children's Equitation. It's been truly a transformation. Horses have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I am at the barn as much as I can be. I joined my barns IEA team in preparation for IHSA. I am an involved rider at the barn, at shows, at school. I am always looking to improve. Some ways that I can help as a Kerrits Ambassador would be to continue to sport the Kerrits Clothing, and to encourage peers to purchase as well. I have a growing Equestrian Instagram account in which I could post pictures encouraging my followers to take a look at the brand as well.
What are your passions as a rider and ambassador?
I have been riding since I was 3 years old. I grew up riding at Sunny Banks Ranch, rodeoing. I competed at sanctioned rodeos, Barrel Racing, Goat Tying, Pole Bending, and Breakaway Roping. I was a part of the New York State High School Rodeo Association for a while as well, competing against other High school Rodeo kids. A little bit over a year ago the ranch I had grown up at closed. I had started taking lessons at an English barn, White Horse Hill, and found that I really loved jumping. I started off in Long Stirrup, then quickly found myself moving up. With hard work and dedication I qualified for National PHA Invitational Finals for Children's Equitation and Junior/Amateur Hunters. I aspire to continue on the path that I started on just last year. I plan to move forward with my lease horse Amsterdam, a Bay Thoroughbred, who lives at White Horse Hill, the barn I've grown so much at this past year. I hope to continue to go to big shows such as HITS Saugerties, and compete more in the Jumpers. I love the feeling of success that I continue to gain at each horse show. I know that this feeling comes directly from the amount of effort put into each course, and each flat class. I also know that I wouldn't have made it this far without my three wonderful trainers, and my family. When I say family I mean my family at home, and the barn family. We have all gotten so far because of the atmosphere at the barn, and the dedication and determination to improve our horsemanship.
What is your connection to Kerrits?
I absolutely fell in love with my Kerrits Performance Tights. They are my go to riding pants. Not only are they the most comfortable breeches that I own, they look the best as well. I shop on Dover, and am constantly looking at Kerrits because of the quality of the clothes that I purchase. On a Facebook group for riders, before I bought some breeches I asked around on which to get. Kerrits seemed to be the general consensus, so I bought a pair. Let's just say since then I always recommend the breeches. My goal is to continue to share my enthusiasm of Kerrits Products with the Equestrian world by sharing my love for them through Instagram, Facebook, and at horse shows. It would truly be an honor to become a Kerrits Ambassador.
