Ambassador: SOPHIA BUBASH
What does being a Kerrits Ambassador mean to you?
Being an ambassador for Kerrits would mean a lot to me, the fact that this company was founded by women athletes is such an inspiration to me. I think through social media and locally here on the island of Oahu I hope to be a positive role model for your company and even come visit your headquarters in Washington and see how this all started!
What are your passions as a rider and ambassador?
My passion as a rider is my love for horses. I started riding by trading out chores at my local barn for lessons. I would muck 14 stalls for a lesson a week and it was so worth it to me to just be around horses and learn about them starting at a basic level. Now that I have a great trainer and ride competitively my passion still remains the same, the horse at the center and the sport surrounding that love! My passion for being an ambassador for Kerrits would be to have the right equipment from a quality company and being able to showcase that to my community and hopefully around the world through social media! I do love fashion and really enjoying looking put together while out in the arena.
What is your connection to Kerrits?
Living on Oahu we do not have any tack stores so finding anything name brand is pretty much non-existent. My mom took a trip to California and was able to visit a tack store and brought me home a pair of cross way Kerrits breeches and once I wore them I never went back! I since have acquired a couple more breeches, an Ice Fil shirt and a show coat. When I found out this company was founded by women athletes, I started noticing the detail more from the pockets to the buttons to the cute package of seeds attached to every pair of breeches, not one detail was missed! Only a fellow rider could create a pair of breeches that not only look cute but also works really well for the sport! Living in Hawaii I really appreciate how breathable everything I wear is. My show coat has so much flex and airways that I am able to wear it for an entire show day and not feel super overheated like I have in the past with other coats.
