Ambassador: TARA MCCORKLE
What does being a Kerrits Ambassador mean to you?
Being a Kerrits Ambassador would be an amazing opportunity to support an amazing brand. I have enjoyed riding in Kerrits attire since I began my riding career 8 years ago. My first pair of breeches were Kerrits. I love my breeches and tops and would love to be a part of the Kerrits community.
What are your passions as a rider and ambassador?
My passions as a rider are to inspire people. I hope to change someone's life through what I do and inspire them to keep going. My riding story is not as smooth as some. My parents divorced when I was 9 years old and my mother and I moved to Florida leaving my dad behind and the barn I grew up riding at. Constantly going back and forth between houses brings the struggle of never getting comfortable with one horse for a long period of time. I haven't had the opportunity to show one horse for a full season since before I moved and it's been difficult. I hope that my success in riding continues to grow in riding and that I will eventually get to the A/AA circuit. I hope to inspire others with my story and help them keep their heads up when life doesn't go as planned. I think being an Ambassador will give me the chance to reach more people and that would be truly an amazing opportunity.
What is your connection to Kerrits?
My connection with Kerrits started at my first lesson when my trainer recommended them to me. I ordered a pair off of Dover Saddlery and fell in love with the comfortable and breathable material. I wore them to every single lesson for almost a year. That doesn't include the countless trips to the barn to hangout with my friends that those pants went through too. Since then I have had numerous pairs of Kerrits breeches. I've also had many shirts and sweaters!
