The Best Cooling Top For Hikes and Outdoor Adventures
This lightweight, packable top is literally the best shirt for casual hikes in the sun or even a hard mountaineering trip. I have used this Ice Fil Kerrits top, which has cooling and wicking capabilities, to climb two mountains, Mt. Hood (Oregon)and also Gran Paradiso in Italy. I love that this cooling top doesn't take up much space in my bag when I travel. I like that is covers my arms from the sun while I'm hiking on a ridge and it has UPF 50 built in. The collar is nice too because it protects my neck from sun exposure as well.
The fit is more of a relaxed fit on me. That is why I said runs slightly big, so if you want it form fitting and you're in between sizes then size down. It doesn't look baggy, it's just not skin tight. I like it, it's comfortable.
My final remark is I sweat a lot on hikes, I feel like this top does a great job wicking the sweat away. I also feel like it doesn't hold smell like my other athletic tops, every wash cycle it's holding up and looking great. I do sometimes air dry it outside instead of drying it every time, not sure if that is helping preserve it. Give this top a try for hiking, gardening or horse riding.
