I came across these breeches while searching for summer/HOT weather breeches. They were on sale, so I took a chance and ordered these in PS. For reference, I am a 28R in TS breeches and 5'3. Initial thought upon arrival; I liked the look of the breeches, feel of the fabric but I wasn't thrilled with the rubber like knee patches. Tried them on and they were really short-above my ankle bone, but they fit well in the waist, slightly short in the inseam. Rode in them the next day. They felt ok walking around, but sitting in the saddle, the knee area is very constricting. I had to yank them up, just to get enough extra fabric around my knee, but then the leg opening is so tapered, you can't pull up much. The knee patch is hot, uncomfortable and doesn't stretch-you just stress the stitching. On the plus side, the fabric really is good and does a good job with wicking moisture and regulating temperature. I contacted customer service about the size difference between petite and regular; 2 inches added to length and inseam. Ordered the regular small to try for a better fit. On me, the waist is more high rise, so it works. The length would work, but now the leg is baggy. Still hate the knee patches. Fabric is still great, but these breeches do not fit right.
