Saw this dress on a gal who is much curvier than me, and from across the room I could tell it was a very well made dress of great material. Even more so when I went up to her, saw it closely, and felt the fabric. Note, she had hemmed the sleeves to a 3/4 length which was very flattering. I am 5'6", 125 lb and slim built but with wide shoulders...based on the size charts, I wasn't completely sure which size to order, so ordered the black in both small and medium. The Kerrits sizing chart recommended a medium for me, but small fit much better. When trying it on, I loved the heft and weight of the wonderful fabric. When I went to a mirror to see the back view, I was overjoyed to see how the horizontal seaming literally hides any bra lines or bumps. WOW, great design! I then went to my closet and tried all sorts of things on with it: heels and a fancy necklace for dress-up, then with booties and taller boots, a short cardigan then a long cardigan for work, a wool shirt for casual, a denim shirt for casual...literally everything works with it! Like the best base layer top/skirt combo you could ever have in your wardrobe. I am returning the medium in black and ordering the small in gray. I live about 50 miles from Kerrits hometown of Hood River OR, so have known of the brand for years, but never purchased anything. I want to play around on the website and check out more items made of this fabric, like maybe some blazers or jackets.
