About Ryley:
Meet our newest Kerrits Team Member! Ryley Miller competes in Pleasure Show Driving and Combined Driving and is an FEI 3* Driver. She competes with a single horse, Sunrise’s Commander, who has made a significant impact on her life over the past four years. One of their major accomplishments includes being the 2023 USEF Intermediate Single Horse National Champion and the 2023 U25 Intermediate Driver of the Year.
My Riding Background:
I come from a long family history in the driving sport. My mom is an FEI, USEF, and ADS judge; my aunt competes in both Coaching and Combined Driving; and my grandfather, a farrier, served as the USA Pair Driving Team Farrier in 1989. I was born into a life with horses and have loved every step of the journey.
When I was younger, I competed in show jumping for a time but eventually returned to my first love: driving. I love the driving sport because it’s something you can do with friends and family, unlike many other equestrian disciplines. In driving, you’re part of a team that includes your horse and another person in the carriage with you for different phases. For me, I’m fortunate to share this sport with my mom, who rides with me during Dressage, Marathon, and Cones. Driving is not only a fun sport but also one that allows for continuous growth. Over the years, I’ve competed up to the FEI 3* level in driving and look forward to what we accomplish this year.
